PRIMARY Print and Photo were recently put in charge of project managing the VINDABA wine exhibition 2012 as well as assisiting with the CAPE WINES exhibition 2012 which were held simultaneously from the 25 - 27 September at the Cape Town International Conference Centre (CTICC).

Although the exhibition only ran a few days, preparations for the exhibition started in May and took five months to complete from start to finish.

The first step involved contacting all the wine farms, explaining the concept behind EcoBoard. From there, all clients were given a spec sheet to what dimensions their logos and images should be.

One of the main problems we encountered was getting correct artwork from the clients. Many of the clients sent through thumbnails of their logos and images taken from their websites which ultimately could not be printed to the size required without pixelating.

Once correct artwork was received from the farms or ad agencies on behalf of the farms, it was the task of PRIMARY to prepare the print and cut files for the individual exhibition stands. From there the print and cut files were sent through to the manufactures of the stands who converted the designs. The lightweight, eco-friendly exhibition stands were delivered on time to the CTICC and the exhibion ran smoothly without problems.

Once the exhibition was over, the clients were able to take their stands with them for future use.
